Morning Walk
Pools of dappled light I see
On the path beneath the tree.
Yellow leaves shimmer bright
In the brilliant morning light.
Bees buzz round the flowers.
Ivy creeps beneath the bowers.
On the open path we pass
Water diamonds in the grass.
Squirrels scamper across a log
As I’m walking with my dog.
Birds loudly sing their song.
Other dogs bounce along.
Not in the Park- instead
We’re in a place where lie the
dead.
With bones buried under ground-
Vibrant life thrives all around!

Nirvana
When every
prisoner is freed
And no
longer is there crime or greed;
Nor
suffering to man or beast
And every
war is brought to peace;
When
everyone and thing is free
And grateful
for their Liberty;
Hearts and
minds will be reborn
And Darkness
will make way for Dawn;
There’ll be
no fright or need to fight
We will
unite within the Light,
That
radiates gold from above
Illuminating
all with Love;
Then Life
will glow in its Rebirth
And Heaven will be here on Earth.

Ebb and Flow
Late September sun so sweet,
Fallen leaves about my feet.
The green has turned instead
To yellow, orange, red.
The air begins to chill
October’s colder still.
Around comes Halloween night
And costumes give a fright.
Ghosts and witches are the sight.
Beware the vampire bite!
Fireworks fill the sky
As November brings the guy
Atop the burning logs
Baked potatoes and hotdogs
Are eaten to sustain
Us from the wind and rain.
Then shorter is the day
As Winter winds its’ way.
Christmas, December brings
Carols, the choir sings.
Thoughts of presents still excites
Christmas trees and fairy lights.
We are full of Christmas cheer
As we celebrate New Year.
January is wintry and cold-
Snowmen with gloves we mould
From deep drifts of snow.
We know they’ll melt and go.
February comes and pancakes flip,
Valentine lovers lock lips.
March heralds the birth of Spring
Warmer weather it will bring.
Blossoms burst forth from the bud
Plants push up through the mud.
Birds break out into song
As ducklings waddle along.
April full of showers-
They’re good for the flowers.
May, the pole is danced around
& the May Queen crowned.
June, Summer has begun
And we welcome the Sun.
July can be so hot
We don’t want to do a lot,
So we spend the days
Soaking up the rays.
We can soak up rain too.
We have our share-it’s true!
But children shout “Hurray!”
They have 6 weeks holiday.
We can visit the seaside.
Go for a long bike ride.
We can picnic in the Park,
Stay out late cos it’s not dark.
August can be a dream
Eating lots of ice cream.
When September starts the rule
Is children back to school.
Late September sun so sweet,
Fallen leaves about my feet.
The green has turned instead
To yellow, orange, red.
It is like ebb and flow
The seasons come and go.
